Amos 2:9

SV	Ik daarentegen heb den Amoriet voor hunlieder aangezicht verdelgd, wiens hoogte was als de hoogte der cederen, en hij was sterk als de eiken; maar Ik heb zijn vrucht van boven, en zijn wortelen van onderen verdelgd.
WLC	וְאָ֨נֹכִ֜י הִשְׁמַ֤דְתִּי אֶת־הָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר כְּגֹ֤בַהּ אֲרָזִים֙ גָּבְהֹ֔ו וְחָסֹ֥ן ה֖וּא כָּֽאַלֹּונִ֑ים וָאַשְׁמִ֤יד פִּרְיֹו֙ מִמַּ֔עַל וְשָׁרָשָׁ֖יו מִתָּֽחַת׃
Trans.	wə’ānōḵî hišəmaḏətî ’eṯ-hā’ĕmōrî mipənêhem ’ăšer kəḡōḇ^ah ’ărāzîm gāḇəhwō wəḥāsōn hû’ kā’allwōnîm wā’ašəmîḏ pirəywō mimm^a‘al wəšārāšāyw mitāḥaṯ:

AC	ט ואנכי השמדתי את האמרי מפניהם אשר כגבה ארזים גבהו וחסן הוא כאלונים ואשמיד פריו ממעל ושרשיו מתחת
ASV	Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
BE	Though I sent destruction on the Amorite before them, who was tall as the cedar and strong as the oak-tree, cutting off his fruit from on high and his roots from under the earth.
Darby	But I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was as the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; but I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
ELB05	Und doch habe ich den Amoriter vor ihnen vertilgt, dessen Höhe wie die Höhe der Zedern war, und er war stark wie die Eichen; und ich habe seine Frucht vertilgt von oben und seine Wurzeln von unten.
LSG	Et pourtant j'ai détruit devant eux les Amoréens, Dont la hauteur égalait celle des cèdres, Et la force celle des chênes; J'ai détruit leurs fruits en haut, Et leurs racines en bas.
Sch	Und doch habe ich den Amoriter vor ihnen her ausgerottet, der so hoch war wie die Zedern und so stark wie die Eichen; ich habe oben seine Frucht und unten seine Wurzel vertilgt;
